Let property: preparation for the specific location and property.
Prepare the equipment handover
List the fitted kitchen, shading, controls and any furniture. Operating instructions are helpful for more complex building systems. Identify the parking space, storage room and cycle facilities so that the handover leaves no uncertain expectations.
Explain the residential setting
Describe the actual entrance route, access to public transport and usable outdoor areas. Promenade activity, restaurants and any surrounding works require a balanced description rather than distances taken only from a map.
Test technical operation before occupation
Work through the installed heating, ventilation and shading controls yourself or obtain an explanation. Prepare the relevant manuals and contacts. A short joint functional check at handover can reveal uncertainty early. Distinguish operating questions from actual faults. An extensive equipment list does little for new residents if they cannot understand or use the functions available in the specific apartment.
Account for keys and digital permissions
Prepare an access schedule for the apartment, garage, cellar and shared areas. Where digital permissions exist, ask the relevant manager how the user change is handled. Record scope and handover clearly; personal accounts belonging to former users should not simply continue as if they were a property feature. Actual access to ancillary space should match what the letting expressly includes.
